Mallie's Birthday at School

We celebrated Mallie's birthday at school early because school ends Friday (May 20), and her teacher has a small birthday party at the park for all summer birthdays but she is the only one that has a birthday left in her class everyone else has already turned five.  Since Mallie was the only one to have a birthday I told the teacher I would provide lunch for the class and  a cake for Mallie.  Mallie was so excited that her class was  getting McDonald and she picked out a Hello Kitty cake.  She will be having her big Hello Kitty swimming birthday party this Sunday at Granny Sandra's pool house with family and friends.   I cannot belive she will be FIVE!

Happy Mother's Day!

I had a great Mother's Day staying home with my three precious children.  They made me mother's day cards and I enjoyed opening them and reading them and we spent the day out by the pool.  It was a great day!

Mini-Olympic at Gymnastics

The girls competed in the Mini-Olympic at Gymnastic on May 6, 2011.  Mallie's class competed in Session 1 and Abby's class in Session 2.  We had to be there for both sessions so it was a long night.  Mallie group started about 5:30 and ended at 7:30 and Abby started at 7:30 and ended around 9:30.  Brian and I really enjoyed watching our girls perform.  They have learned a lot at Double Dose Gymnastics from Coach Dawn and Coach Dedra and have really enjoyed this sport!

A Proud Mom!

I am a very proud mom, Abby was asked to join the competitive gymnastic team at Double Doses.  She has worked so hard at gymnastic this year and her coach has been telling the class she was watching to see who was going to get to move up to a higher class or make team and she got the letter she made team!!  We are so proud of her.

Abby's --- 1st grade end of the year field trip to Georgia Southern University

On Wednesday Abby's class went on a field trip to Georgia Southern University to visits the planetarium, wildlife center and museum.  It was great field trip!  The children liked the star show at the planetarium, enjoyed the snakes and birds at the wildlife center and learned about dinosaurs and Native Americans at the museum.   It was a very educational trip!  Abby's friend Raven and her mom rode with us on the trip.  Abby only has two more weeks of 1st grade--- now that is hard to believe!

Relay for Life and Birthday Parties!

On Friday night, the city of  Wrens hosted the Jefferson County Relay for Life and the kids and I attend.  A very close friend of the family is a Cancer Survivor and he asked the kids to walk the survivor's lap with him. The kids really enjoyed walking with Uncle Fay and Bren around the track.  On Saturday, Abby attend her sweet little friend Anna's birthday at the city park while Mallie and I had lunch at the Huddle House and did a little shopping around Louisville.  On Sunday, we went to church and it was my turn to teach children's church I had a very small group this Sunday.  After church the girls and I headed to Augusta to Chuckie Cheese to another birthday party.
